About House’s final gesture to the patient: he’s resting his hand on his diaphragm, and slightly inhales.

What does this mean? I’d like to think there’s a double meaning: firstly, for diagnostic purposes, House HAS to know if the drug worked. When Jason manages a deep breath of his own, House is satisfied. Of course, its a bittersweet sentiment; they both know Jason’s headed for jail, and House, having connected with his patient, reflects that in the subtle, silent way he acknowledges his success.

The other meaning I take from it is literally the thought, to just “breathe”; to relax, that it’s all over now. Obviously the mystery of his illness has had a profound psychological effect on Jason; and, although he’s going to jail, House appreciates the fact that Jason can now relax. It might also be him calming himself, after the anxiety of the hostage situation.

Help Barbara ! I’m so distressed by House’s cruel groping and remark to Cuddy in ‘Let Them eat Cake’. House is often direct & rude but not cruel. Please tell me he did that to push Cuddy away as he thinks he will eventually hurt her. It was SO out of character. Neither of the patients were what they ‘appeared to be’this week. ..perhaps House wasn’t the absolute jerk he seemed in actually sexually assaulted Cuddy.

I do believe that House was reacting to Cuddy’s assertive behavior. she was doing as Wilson suggested–and House reacted poorly to that. Mechanically and unemotionally (except his eyes in the moment before.) He’s not going to make this easy on either of them. But that desk gesture really says more than anything else how House feels.

I know it is extremely unlikely to happen but I really would like to see the old cast back together, i.e. Foreman, Chase and Cameron. I really missed their dynamic. I couldn’t find any e-mail address to send to Fox or ask the writers from the show. Can anyone be kind enough to show me an e-mail for one of the writers?
